Beautiful to look upon as well as hear, this superb instrument draws its sonic power and clarity from the Pacific Northwest-grown myrtlewood top, back and sides. Primarily used as a body wood, for the Oregon Concert LTD we’ve also used it as a top wood, creating a voice that’s lively and crisp, with powerful projection and detailed note articulation.
Here's an extremely rare limited edition in original unplayed condition. This is #22 of 200 made in 2007. They have never been reissued. It still has the original strings on. The original case is also pristine.
'To commemorate the summer of love Martin has once again teamed up with artist Don Oriolo, owner and steward of Felix The Cat, to create an equally extraordinary Limited Edition, the Martin 000X Hippie guitar. The top is crafted from high-pressure laminate (HPL), Sitka spruce braces with back and sides of HPL material. Bridge and fingerboard are crafted of black Micarta, nut and saddle are made of Corian and Tusq. The adjustable, 14-fret Strataply neck featuers a long 25.4" scale modified low profile, Gotoh "Cosmo Black" precision tuning machines.
Each of these limited edition guitars will be hand numbered on a special interior label and will come in a mustard yellow "Durahyde" hardshell case with orange plush interior.'
Ringo owned #192 &recently sold it for almost $18,000 at auction. Although this guitar doesn't have a celebrity owner in its past it does represent an opportunity to own a very desirable limited edition guitar in better condition than Ringo's for a fraction of the price.
Goo goo g'joob.
Roger Sadowsky builds some of the finest basses & arch top guitars in the world. Roger's unparalleled design refinements and obsession with top-quality craftsmanship insure that every instrument that bears his name is special- something in which he & the purchaser can take equal pride & pleasure.
The Semi-Hollow has the same fine pedigree as all Sadowskys & offers a traditional jazz tone coupled with the ability to withstand feedback in high volume & large band environments. The chambered spruce center block provides warm acoustic tone with maximum feedback resistance. In our opinion this guitar is a fine choice for blues or rock too.
This guitar is in fine shape with no significant play wear & no issues. Frets are immaculate. Guitar has been set up with 11s & plays like a dream. It sounds every bit as good as it looks.
