The hand-crafted parlor contours will sit just as perfectly in your studio track as they will in your lap. Though its frame is small, the projection that radiates from it is unparalleled. A sturdy and lightweight Sitka Spruce face makes for clear and powerful tone, while dense Mahogany at the back, sides and neck emphasize a gorgeous woody bass and punchy, musical treble.

A slim tapered neck profile adorned with a rosewood fretboard offers superior control over the strings; you'll find bends, slides and transfers nearly effortless and completely comfortable. Underneath the hood, you'll find an LR Baggs VTC pick-up - a streamlined design with minimal components to showcase a lively transducer sensitivity that perfectly brings out the L-00's delicate high end. With a precisely molded Tusq nut, bridge pins and saddle, you'll get practically perfect string balance and spacing.

The 1930's L-00 set the tone and almost 100 years later, it's still got sustain. Some things are time-honored for a reason.

Aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish for classic looks and feel

The Gibson Acoustic L-00 Standard wears a gorgeous thermally aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish, hand-sprayed by Gibson's talented aging team. Nitro finishes — standard back in the day — are significantly thinner than today's polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to "breathe." Nitro finishes not only look vintage-y wonderful, but they also enhance the instrument's tonal qualities. This guitar has the look (and feel) of an aged, yet well-cared-for, classic.
