Gibson Custom '59 Les Paul Standard Double Dirty Lemon VOS Nickel Hardware

  To say it was a process to bring this guitar to life would be selling it short; we flew all the way to Nashville to painstakingly select the tops for this model from hundreds of choices, at a tremendous risk of splinters, to bring you this homage to a golden Gibson era in a beautiful Dirty Double Lemon Vintage Original Spec finish.

Gibson’s VOS  process is to hand-spray several layers of genuine nitrocellulose lacquer and follow it with a proprietary hand-buffing to create a glowy, gently aged patina. A mahogany body rounds out the resonance of that maple top for that time-honored Gibson sound, and a mahogany Carmelita style neck completes the 24.75” scale, outfitted with a sleek Indian rosewood fingerboard and Cellulose Nitrate Gibson Trapezoid inlays.

At the neck and bridge you’ll find unpotted Gibson Custombuckers , which were designed to recreate the original PAF pickups Gibson introduced in the 50’s, and are only available new from the Custom Shop. Versatility is the Custombucker calling card – warm, smooth, bright, articulate… the sky is the limit with tonal control here. Gold top hat knobs (two for volume, two for tone), a historic amber switch tip, and aged nickel hardware round out that ever-so-particular look. 

Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case, inspection sheet and warranty, original hangtags, certificate of authenticity, spare switch tip cover and backplate, as can be seen in photos.
