Gibson Les Paul Custom - Wine Red VOS GH with Hard Shell Case

We here at Five Star Guitars have always been enamored with that distinct aesthetic of Jerry Cantrell's "Wino"... but we wanted to make it more accessible. 

Typically, this model is only available in a gloss Ebony and Arctic White, but we were in love with this wine red reminiscent of the 70's and 80's... so we teamed up with the Gibson Custom Shop to bring this limited run of Les Paul Customs in Wine Red to life. We opted for the VOS finish for a cool patina we think compliments that historical color beautifully. Gibson’s VOS  process is to hand-spray several layers of genuine nitrocellulose lacquer and follow it with a proprietary hand-buffing to create a glowy, gently aged look.

A mahogany body rounds out the resonance of that maple top for that time-honored Gibson sound.  A long neck tennon secures a mahogany neck and offers maximum sustain all across the sleek ebony fingerboard (with pearl custom block inlays). 

At the neck and bridge you’ll find Gibson Custombuckers, which are only available new from the Custom Shop. Versatility is the Custombucker calling card – warm, smooth, bright, articulate… the sky is the limit with tonal control. We chose black speed knobs, gold VOS hardware and white binding to tie it all together. 

Comes with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case, inspection sheet and warranty, original hangtags, certificate of authenticity and spare backplate, as can be seen in photos.
