On our nylon-string models, we’ve married everything we love about the classical sound with everything we know about playability to create an inspiring and accessible nylon experience for modern steel-string players. Like our other nylon models, the rosewood/Lutz spruce Grand Auditorium 714ce-N features a slightly radiused (20-inch) fretboard and 1-7/8-inch neck. We’ve also borrowed steel-string amenities like onboard electronics, featuring our ES-N® pickup, for easy amplified tone, plus a cutaway for greater access to the guitar’s upper register. Distinctive aesthetic details include Hawaiian koa binding, a herringbone-style rosette of Douglas fir with maple/black accents, bias-cut Douglas fir top trim, a “weathered brown” pickguard design with a pattern reminiscent of leather, and our “Reflections” fretboard inlay in pale green abalone.
