1970's Micro-Frets Stage II Sunburst w/ Original HSC

Micro-Frets

SKU: 21538

This is a 1970's Micro-Frets Stage II Sunburst, with original hard shell case, no COA, used, in very good condition. These are quite rare, made by Micro-Frets in Frederick, Maryland in the late '60s - early '70s. This Stage II looks gorgeous in sunburst and sounds amazing! It's in very good condition for its age (some dings, scuffs, and scratches, please see pictures below). All pickups, controls, circuitry, hardware, and hard shell case appear to be original.

Micro-Frets was an extremely innovative company, coming out with features light-years ahead of their time. The Micro-Nut allows the guitar to be intonated at both ends of the string, all hardware is sturdy and resilient despite its age, the Calibrato tremolo is a joy to use, and its pickups were designed by none other than Bill Lawrence.

This Stage II has been set up by our luthier. Right now it's playing amazingly low without fret buzz, but if you have any custom setup requests just let us know - we can set it up to your specifications free of charge at time of purchase. We will ship the guitar carefully packed and fully insured.

If you have any questions about this guitar prior to purchasing don't hesitate to ask!
