Fender Custom Shop '72 Telecaster Deluxe Journeyman, Maple Neck - Aged Candy Apple Red 

Developed originally in 1972, the Telecaster Deluxe was Fender's third foray into the world of humbuckers. Preceded by the Tele Thinline and Tele Custom, the Deluxe was billed as the top model of Telecasters by the time of its official release in '73 and has since been a favorite of such greats as Thom Yorke, Noel Gallagher and Buddy Guy. The pickguard-mounted control panel configuration was boosted straight from the Telecaster custom and the headstock was swapped for a larger strat style (so the logo could be more easily seen on television). 

We opted to give the Deluxe a nod with our own spin - a Journeyman relic finish in Candy Apple Red to complete the vintage visage. An alder body supports a maple '69 "U" neck and maple fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, each with their own level of aging. The headstock boasts aged Schaller "F" tuners. 

At its core are dual CoNiFe wide-range humbuckers - think 70s! Bell-like tone with full bass and clear treble, “hi-fi” clarity and no loss to attack or definition, no matter how hard you're wailin'. A vintage hardtail completes the circuit at the bridge.

Comes with the original hard shell case, Certificate of Authenticity and a shop floor traveler.
