The Builder’s Edition K24ce is a high end, all-Koa electro-acoustic guitar in the renowned Taylor Grand Auditorium body shape. Visually stunning with its Kona burst, spring vine inlay and beveled edges, the responsibly sourced tone wood is grown exclusively for Taylor on the Big island of Hawai - the unique climate having a profound impact on the structure of this mighty tone wood, which possesses a complex tonal range with a bright and lively character. A guitar that will age with you; over the years the wood will loosen, open up and deliver a deeper low-end and resonance. A Tropical mahogany neck and ebony fretboard provide stability and deliver extra definition to the attack, and embracing the revolution in guitar building that is V-class bracing - we are provided with a soundboard that resonates in a more orderly, natural fashion - providing more volume, increased sustain and improved intonation of the notes all the way along the fretboard – overall balanced more evenly across the tonal range. No matter whether you are a strummer or fingerpicker, the Builder’s Edition K24ce will accommodate your playing style and develop as you do.
This K24ce is the flagship model of the hotly anticipated Builder’s Edition Series, crafted by Master builder Andy Powers. Andy calls this series his Director’s Cut, where he aimed for the highest standard in comfort, tone and playability. No rules – no expense spared. Note the armrest that takes pressure off the player’s strumming arm with a beveled cutaway for easy upper fretboard access. Chamfered edges across the body and neck of the guitar add a smooth, silky feel for the optimal playing experience and the Silent Satin finish will remove much of the incidental noise that can occur during arm movement, making it the ideal guitar for recording and further adding to unique aesthetics of the Builder’s Edition K24ce. The cherry on top is the headstock kitted up with a set of premier gold Gotoh tuners, with 1:21 gear ratio for super accurate tuning. Why should you have to choose between looks, sound or feel when you can have it all with the K24ce Builder’s Edition? "
Both visually striking and musically unique, Hawaiian koa offers a focused, articulate sound complemented by top-end sparkle and a warm bass range that emerges as you play in the guitar. A dense tropical hardwood, koa blends midrange focus with extra top-end brightness and chime. The more a koa guitar is played and opens up — especially an all-koa guitar — the more its midrange overtones add warmth and sweetness to its voice.
Taylor guitar necks are the most playable in the industry, thanks to the patented neck joint design and sleek neck profile. Taylor's precise neck/body assembly process allows every neck angle to be set with extreme accuracy and easily maintained throughout the life of the guitar.
