Goodall RGC - Western Red Cedar/East Indian Rosewood with Hard Shell Case

Experience Acoustic Excellence with the Goodall RGC in Red Cedar/East Indian Rosewood

Founded in 1972, Goodall Guitars has embraced a mission of "Acoustic Excellence" from its inception. This unwavering commitment is at the heart of their craftsmanship, where each instrument is meticulously designed to produce rich, resonant tones and boasts refined designs and appointments. Goodall Guitars views their instruments not just as guitars but as musical tools, meticulously designed with precision, reminiscent of master-built violins. Their overarching philosophy is to create the absolute finest instruments, without cost constraints. The focus is on tasteful, elegant appointments that allow the natural beauty of the woods to take center stage, with full confidence in the unmatched lyrical voice of their guitars to inspire musicians to achieve their own acoustic excellence.

The Grand Concert Model: A Perfect Blend of Tone

Goodall's Grand Concert model represents a pinnacle of acoustic guitar design, offering a refined and beautifully proportioned shape that's the epitome of what an acoustic guitar should be. This model delivers a remarkable blend of balanced clarity and punchy projection, complemented by a smooth, rich bass response. While it falls between the Parlor and Concert Jumbo in size, it produces a lyrical treble with exceptional sustain and is comfortable to hold. Unlike smaller guitars, the Grand Concert avoids the tight nasal tonal qualities, delivering a broad and expressive tonal spectrum.

Versatile for Fingerstylists and Flatpickers

While renowned for its suitability for fingerstylists due to its sensitive and dynamically responsive nature, the Grand Concert is equally adept for flatpickers and plectrum players, especially when paired with the right tonewood combination. This model is prized among Bluegrass flatpickers for its clarity, sustain, and powerful projection, often rivaling larger dreadnought guitars in these key aspects.

This guitar is in very good condition and has undergone a full in-store professional inspection and setup. The neck is nice and straight, fits comfortably in the hand and exhibits only very gentle fretwear. Cosmetically, there is an amount of worming to the cedar top primarily on the bass side of the bridge, gentle buckle wear on the back and  light scuffs on the treble side of the body as can be seen in photos.
