Peavey EVH Wolfgang Mini 3/4 Junior 7.5 Three Quarter - Never Officially Released

The Peavey EVH Wolfgang Mini, also known as the 3/4 size Wolfgang, is a unique and rare gem in the world of electric guitars. Its story is one of limited production and intrigue.

Per the Peavey Guitars Authorized American History by Willie G. Moseley, "Two unique Wolfgangs were seen on the Peavey price list by 2003. The American-made "7.5" has a downsized scale of 22 3/4". Sometimes referred to as the Wolfgang Junior or "three-quarter" size Wolfgang, approximately ten prototypes were made. The model was displayed at a 2003 NAMM show, but there was not enough interest from dealers to allow Peavey to commit to a full production." Due to the limited production, these guitars lack serial numbers.

According to a verified source at Peavey, as many as 25 of these prototypes may have been crafted but never officially released. Consequently, establishing the guitar's precise year of manufacture is a challenge. Furthermore, Peavey did not produce a custom-fitted case for this model upon its introduction, so the included hard shell case, while accommodating the guitar, is not molded to its size.

Remarkably, this Peavey EVH Wolfgang Mini remains entirely stock, with only a brief flirtation with tuner replacement, confirmed by the original owner. Eventually, the original tuning machines were reinstalled, leaving behind some residual screwholes on the back of the headstock. We subjected this rare find to the scrutiny of our professional luthier, and here's what we can confirm:
