Gibson Custom Shop 70's Les Paul -  Tobacco Burst Vintage Original Spec with Gold Hardware 

To say it was a process to bring this guitar to life would be selling it short - this Les Paul was designed as an homage to the 70's Les Paul Customs we here at Five Star Guitars have come to covet.  We flew all the way to Nashville to painstakingly select the tops for this model from hundreds of choices to bring you this absolute stunner. 

Gibson’s VOS process is to hand-spray several layers of genuine nitrocellulose lacquer and follow it with a proprietary hand-buffing to create a glowy, gently aged patina. A mahogany body rounds out the resonance of that maple top for that time-honored Gibson sound. We ordered off-menu to include a walnut filler to elevate the finish even more adding a deep, rich warmth to the mahogany at the back of the body and neck, which is outfitted with a sleek ebony fingerboard and pearl custom block inlays. 

At the neck and bridge you’ll find Gibson Custombuckers, which are only available new from the Custom Shop. Versatility is the Custombucker calling card – warm, smooth, bright, articulate… the sky is the limit with tonal control. To more accurately represent the era, we outfitted this particular guitar with black witch hat knobs and gold inserts just like you'd see in the seventies, along with a cream switch tip, and gold Vintage Original Spec hardware (with Grover Kidney tuners). To round out this unique look, the multi-ply binding is lightly antiqued for a more vintage appearance.

Comes with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case, inspection sheet and warranty, original hangtags, certificate of authenticity and spare backplate, as can be seen in photos.

This item is in excellent condition, virtually mint with no discernable playwear or fretwear, but with one very small ding on the back that can be seen in photos.
