Discover the fascinating journey of the Fender Stratocaster through time. Initially obscure in 1954, the Stratocaster was perceived as an unconventional instrument, far from the norm. However, the tides turned swiftly, with design improvements, a vibrant sunburst finish, and sturdy components propelling it into the spotlight. Despite facing World War restrictions in the UK, this remarkable guitar rose to prominence, capturing the hearts of musical virtuosos like Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and more. By 1959, the Stratocaster was primed to leave its indelible mark on the '60s.
The Fender Custom Shop 59 Stratocaster Hardtail pays homage to the Stratocaster's quirks, with perfected contours and unintentional "in-between tones" that shaped musical history. The alder body boasts a captivating Faded Aged Sonic Blue finish, while the flash coat lacquered rift-sawn maple neck, featuring a '59 style "D" profile, is topped with a Triple-A rosewood fingerboard. The ensemble is powered by the Fender Hand-wound 59 Stratocaster Closet Classic pickups (with a reverse-wound center pickup) for an authentic vintage tonal palette. Every appointment bears the distinguished Closet Classic aging, encompassing the Time Capsule finish package, from the tuning heads to the pickguard, knobs, and pickup covers.
The Fender Custom Shop 59 Stratocaster Hardtail celebrates a timeless legacy, embracing the uniqueness that made it a legend.
