From Relish:
Mary One has many faces. She’s a gentle Jazz singer, a mighty metal force and a husky blues jammer. Whatever you want her to be, the combination of a unique construction, a range of innovative features and Swiss craftsmanship make Mary One a multi-faceted and inspiring instrument.
Mary One features an aluminium core for a brilliant crystal clear sound, a semi-matt varnish and a magnetic back lid for light-speed pickup swapping. The modern “C” shape maple neck carries a 10” bamboo fretboard with 24 medium jumbo nickel silver frets. A graphite nut, Gotoh SG 381 tuners and Emerson electronics ensure high-quality sound and playablity. Mary One comes with our very own custom-wound Relish Buckers XV.
Mary and Mary One proudly feature Gotoh SG 381 tuners and D’Addario NYXL 10-46 strings.
Married to the maple neck is a woven bamboo fretboard, which in addition to being an environmentally sustainable wood, has a wealth of sustain and tone. The bamboo is also extremely resilient to changes in humidity, which results in less maintenance. Mary also rocks 24 medium jumbo STAINLESS STEEL frets with a 10” fretboard radius.
Mary's and Mary One's pickups are our own Relish Bucker XV humbuckers, featuring a dominate coil for added transparency, coupled with Emerson electronics. The pickups come in a special Relish Pickup Swapping mounting, that allows your to remove and insert pickups within seconds.
The body features our unique Swiss “floating sandwich construction”. This design includes an aluminum center core, top veneer and back veneer. The top and back are separated from the center with industrial rubber rings, which allow the aluminum center to vibrate freely and produce an increased resonance, similar to a soundboard inside of a piano. The back is attached to the center using our industrial (and sexy as hell) magnets for easy access to the electronics.
The connectors are mounted on the front of the body. They do not have any direct contact to the vibrating middle layer. Rubber rings make sure that the middle layer can vibrate as freely as possible.
