This guitar looks like it's wearing Jessica Rabbit's dress! It's every bit as shapely, sparkly and utterly seductive. We're not entirely positive but it might just be irresistible to rabbits too. But we digress...
The Shorty features a 24.75” (Gibson) scale length rather than the usual 25.5” (Fender) length. The result is an extremely playable guitar with a fuller tone since the shorter scale length moves the midrange Q frequency lower in the tonal spectrum. It features the versatility and clarity of a Super Strat with some of the warmth of an SG. The playability, innovation and attention to detail, however, reveals the bloodline to be all Anderson. This Classic is equipped with an H1 and H2+ humbuckers for a clear vintage output neck tone and a smooth medium bridge tone. The pickups work extremely well together and split quite well to provide a wide range of tonal possibilities. This guitar is beautifully crafted, sounds amazing, and is a joy to play.
The neck is quite slim and fast with a consistent feel from the first position all the way up. The contoured heel provides easy access to the upper register. The wedge neck pocket provides more contact area between neck & body and literally locks the neck in place. Fretwork is immaculate & the Buzz Feiten tuning system insures that even the tightest chord clusters play in tune all the way up the neck. Fit & finish are as always flawless.
