As the dreadnought entry in Taylor's 400 series, the 410ce uses African Ovangkol (Ovankol) for its back and sides which yields a tone similar to Rosewood. Before 1998, this model used Mahogany for its back and sides. The 410ce features a Venetian cutaway and onboard Expression System electronics.

The Taylor 410ce Ovangkol/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar lets players continue to discover solid African ovangkol’s responsive, rosewood-like tone, which pairs well with Sitka spruce and can accommodate a range of playing styles. White binding applies a crisp counterpoint against the gloss top and mottled brown hues of ovangkol, while the Expression System wires these guitars for high-fidelity amplified acoustic sound.

This guitar sounds fantastic, and has undergone a full setup and inspection from our in-house luthier. The neck is nice and straight and shows only light fretwear. The finish does show some light playwear and a few small dings and dents which can be easily seen in photos.
