Dirty Haggard Tone Benzer

The Dirty Haggard Tone Benzer is their tribute to one of the first fuzz pedals ever, the Tone Bender Mk. 1.5.  This circuit is almost the same as the venerable Fuzz Face, differing in only a few component values, but takes a decidedly more aggressive stance.  That being said, the Benzer is the best of both worlds: it has huge low end, cleans up perfectly with your guitar’s volume knob, and has tons of output to slam the front end of your favorite amp.  The hybrid Germanium/Silicon design uses 1 x BC108 transistor and 1 x MP35 so you get the warm sound and touch sensitivity of Germanium transistors with the temperature stability, consistency, and clarity of Silicon.  As with all Dirty Haggard Audio designs this pedal has an uncommonly low noise floor for this style of circuit.  If you’ve been looking for a killer, massive sounding fuzz or a great Mk. 1.5 that won’t break the bank, the Tone Benzer is the answer!  Come try one today!
