Misha Mansoor was one of the pioneer players to popularize the djent sound - Periphery brought the bespoke, ultra technical sound to the forefront of the metal genre and made it accessible. In designing this model with Jackson, Mansoor produced a guitar that not only boasts the core features of his own instrument, but adds a striking top-end bite with its flame maple top.
This instrument in particular (while already fairly rare in its stock configuration) has had a small handful of modifications made. The knobs, toggle switch and output jack have been upgraded to USA made parts. The pickups (which were originally MM1's) were swapped out for Seymour Duncans - A Nazgul and Sentient (at the bridge and neck, respectively), which add that much more bass definition and filthiness.
This guitar is in very good condition and has undergone a full setup and inspection from our in-house luthier. The neck is nice and straight, fits comfortably in the hand (a necessity for the 7-string player) and shows very little fretwear. Cosmetically, the finish does show a light amount of superficial playwear that can be seen in photos.
