812ce 12-Fret Limited Edition - Redwood/Rosewood

The Taylor 812ce 12-Fret LTD Redwood/Rosewood guitar is a masterpiece in the world of small-bodied guitars. The Grand Concert body size and short-scale neck make it easy to play, especially for fingerstyle players who are sure to love its intimate design. The 12-fret version yields a unique sound compared to the 14-fret version, as the bridge position is closer to the center of the lower bout and the bracing profile has been modified to emphasize a bolder attack. This produces the Grand Concert’s signature articulation with a slightly meatier, more robust tonal output.

Featuring Hide Glued Advanced Performance-Class bracing design, the guitar delivers added projection and sustain, bringing out more of the Indian rosewood’s harmonic complexity. The slightly darker, punchier quality in a small guitar is what makes the 812ce 12-Fret a great choice for players looking for something unique.

This guitar is in good condition and has undergone a full in-store professional inspection and setup. The neck is nice and straight, fits comfortably in the hand and exhibits only gentle fretwear. Cosmetically, the guitar is missing the pickguard, has a sizable gouge to the top to the bass side of the soundhole, some shallow dings near the soundhole on the treble side, several dings to the sides of the body and wear to the end of the headstock, all of which can be seen in photos. There also was at one point a crack below the bridge, but was remedied in 2019 by our in-house luthier and is structurally sound. Hard shell case is included.  As always, this guitar ships fully insured with signature required.
