Introducing the Walrus Audio Fathom in its striking Custom Retro Limited Edition finish. This pedal is far from ordinary; it's a feature-rich reverb that opens up a world of sonic possibilities. With four distinct customized reverb algorithms, you have the power to shape your sound like never before. From subtle, small room reverberations to expansive, modulated trails filled with ambient wonder, the Fathom is your gateway to reverb excellence.
The Fathom offers four unique algorithms, each designed to cater to your creative needs:
Hall: Immerse yourself in wide, open spaces with a vast decay that gracefully rolls off the high frequencies. Adjust the pre-delay with the X knob to fine-tune your sound.
Plate: Experience a full-bodied reverb with a smooth, luscious decay. The X knob allows you to control the pre-delay for added versatility.
Lo-fi: Delve into the world of filtered reverb, with decay ranging from warm and cozy to the vintage AM-radio tones. Use the X knob to shape the width of the filter.
Sonar: Dive into a unique reverb that blends high and low octaves, offering an ethereal soundscape. The X knob lets you control the blend between the octaves for a one-of-a-kind sonic journey.
The Fathom doesn't stop at traditional reverb controls. It also offers momentary functions that add a touch of magic to your playing:
Engage a moment of reverb by pressing and holding the Bypass Switch when the pedal is off. Release the switch to turn the effect off.
Create dreamy, ambient decrescendos by holding the Sustain Switch while the pedal is active, sustaining the reverb decay.
Switching between trails mode is a breeze. Simply unplug the pedal and hold down the Bypass Switch for two seconds while plugging it back in. This mode ensures your reverb trails seamlessly continue even when you turn off the pedal.
The Walrus Audio Fathom Limited Edition boasts an Arizona Teal finish with cream and white ink, featuring captivating artwork by Stuart Dooley. The diecast enclosure measures approximately 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39", making it pedalboard-friendly. Power it up with a 9VDC supply (100mA minimum), and for optimal performance, consider using an isolated power supply. Please note that a power supply is not included, and daisy chain power supplies are not recommended.
This pedal works nicely as intended and is in good condition, exhibiting some moderate external wear as can be seen in photos. Box is included.
