JHS Muffuletta Army Green

JHS Muffuletta Army Green Distortion/Fuzz

JHS Muffuletta Army Green: A Tribute to Classic Big Muff Tones

The Big Muff fuzz has been a staple in the music industry for decades, featured on countless classic recordings and available in many variations. JHS wanted to honor this iconic pedal but couldn't settle on which version was the best. The result is the Muffuletta, which houses five all-analog recreations of the most beloved Big Muff tones, plus a JHS-exclusive tone. No matter your preferred Big Muff era, the JHS Muffuletta offers them all in one versatile pedal.

Six Classic Tones in One Pedal

The Muffuletta includes six distinct fuzz tones inspired by different eras of the Big Muff:

JHS - "2015"

The JHS original take on the classic circuit is more powerful and less compressed, with a haunting midrange. It's also ideal for bass guitar.

73 RAMS HEAD - 1973-1977 V2

Named for the face-like graphic on the original pedal, this version has a scooped midrange, less gain, and a darker tone. Famous users: David Gilmour, Ernie Isley, J. Mascis

THE TRIANGLE - 1969-1970 V1

With its knobs arranged in a triangle, this version offers more low-end response and articulation. Famous users: Santana, David Gilmour, John Lennon, Kevin Shields, Jimi Hendrix

THE PI - 1977-1978 V3

Recognizable by its red Pi symbol, this version features a more aggressive sound. Famous users: Frank Zappa, Billy Corgan, Jack White, The Edge, Beck, Pete Townshend

THE RUSSIAN - 1999-2009 V8

Named for the "Made in Russia" text, this version has less clarity and low end, providing a great garage-type sound. Famous users: Dan Auerbach, Chris Wolstenholme, Robin Finck

THE CIVIL WAR - 1991-1993 V7

Named for its Civil War-era font and colors, this version has more midrange, a brighter overall tone, and less gain. Famous users: Thurston Moore, John Fogerty, Jeff Tweedy, Mike Mills, Peter Buck
