1955 Gibson ES-125: Vintage Jazz Box with Authentic Charm

This 1955 Gibson ES-125 is a stunning example of a mid-century classic, offering that unmistakable Gibson tone and feel.   • Condition: Relatively good condition for its age. There is consistent checking all over the top, with lighter checking across the back, sides, and neck. The finish has a few chips, especially on the bass side of the fingerboard tongue. The jack has been knocked in and damaged in the past, and now has a DIY oversized jack plate. Noticeable fretwear is present in the first position, extending up to the 7th or 8th fret, but playability is not affected.

  • Finish Description: Original nitrocellulose finish with a sunburst top, mahogany-finished sides, and a walnut tint over the maple back. The guitar exhibits typical wear for its age, with checking and finish chips as described above.
