GT Urban Ash - Grand Theater

Designed for its rich tone and comfortable playability, the Grand Theater Urban Ash shares the footprint and big, full-bodied sound of the Grand Orchestra but scaled down to a comfy, compact body. The comfy neck is uniquely proportioned for reduced string tension; at 24 1/8", it's slightly shorter than the Grand Concert but longer than the GS Mini. The responsibly-source smoked eucalyptus fretboard offers the feel of rosewood and the tonal disposition of ebony.

The Urban Ash back and sides make for a strong contender as a high-grade guitar wood of the future. Its focused, powerful voice creates clean notes mostly free of ringing overtones. This makes it supremely adaptable to the particular style of the player. Compared to the “swamp” ash utilized for electric guitars, this species is heavier, denser and more resonant. The solid spruce top offers projection uncommon in such a small frame, boistered by asymmetrical C-Class bracing (a spin on the V-Class, but appropriate for the body shape.)
