Handmade in Santa Cruz, California and Portland, Oregon by luthiers Ben Lambdin and Agustin Gaytan-Morello, the Coastal Semi-Hollow Archtop represents a thoughtful fusion of sustainability, originality, and sonorous intent. This build harnesses locally sourced, character-rich tonewoods, each chosen for visual beauty and acoustic depth. The top is pressed laminate Northern California Redwood, imparting a soft attack and woody resonance, while the Monterey Cypress back and sides keep the tonal character light, bright, and open.

Sustainably Unique Materials and Design

At the core of this instrument's sonic identity is its rare tonewood combination. The black acacia neck delivers an effortless hand feel and unique grain figuring, and the 24.75" scale ebony fingerboard offers familiar short-scale snap with long-scale depth and sustain. A bone nut and Sperzel Solid Pro Tuners ensure rock solid tuning stability, while the brass Nashville-style bridge adds a vintage aesthetic and dynamic tonal response.
