A lot of T style guitars do one thing- a wiry clucking bridge pickup tone that while cool doesn't cover as many bases as the modern player might want or need. This is not that kind of guitar. Have you ever had (or wanted) an instrument that is so much more than the sum of its parts that it ends up feeling like an extension of not just your body but your imagination? This IS that kind of guitar.

At 6 pounds 15 ounces it's a lightweight that punches well out of its class. As one would expect there's plenty of twang and snarl to be had on tap but there's a bloom and richness to the tone as well as real touch sensitivity that's not present in most guitars of this style. When you hit a chord or hold a single note you can feel the neck and body vibrate in harmony as the notes just take off. The contoured body makes this a super comfortable guitar to hold close as well.

It's not every day that one finds a T bridge pickup that gets along well with a full size humbucker but this one sure does. There are a tone of useful tones at your fingertips. It's also a not at all temperamental instrument. Good guitars have a personality and, man, this one is happy.

The neck is slim and fast but not too skinny with a consistent feel from the first position all the way up. The contoured heel provides easy access to the upper register. The wedge neck pocket provides more contact area between neck & body and literally locks the neck in place. Fretwork is immaculate & the Buzz Feiten tuning system insures that even the tightest chord clusters play in tune all the way up the neck. Fit & finish are absolutely flawless.

Ftom the Anderson site:

By now everybody but everybody knows that the coolest traditional T-style guitar is the T Classic, and has been such for a long time now. Out of 36 “T” guitars tested in Guitar Player Magazine’s “Tele Shoot Out” in the July 1993 issue, the T Classic won it all!  T Classic is:

  • Traditional pickguard trim.
  • Traditional control plate plays host to a 3-Way or 5-Way layout that will deliver so many sounds you will have to add songs to your set list to use them all.
  • Solid or hollow body chambers.
One of these is what you play when you want ripping "T" tones that jump to the forefront of the mix while being supported by rich low-mids.
